Ketamine- Assisted Psychotherapy
(KAP)

What is KAP treatment?

Recently, ketamine has shown to have great promise as an off-label treatment for Treatment Resistant Depression (TRD), Anxiety, PTSD, OCD, drug and alcohol addiction, and other psychiatric diagnoses.

KAP or Ketamine-assisted Psychotherapy is a treatment that uses the medication Ketamine combined with psychotherapy.  There are many different routes of administration that are available using Ketamine Treatment such as IV (intravenous), IM (intramuscular shot), Oral (Lozenge/Troche), or the Nasal Spray.  Rooted Connection Therapy uses the Oral Lozenges/Troches and focuses on psychotherapy and integration work to provide whole person healing.

The KAP protocols involve a psychological and medical assessment, preparation sessions, medicine sessions, and integration sessions.   Ketamine used in conjunction with therapy, a safe setting, and integrating what you are learning can produce long lasting benefits.  Rooted Connection Therapy approaches treatment using a spiritual approach that incorporates ritual, ceremony, breathe-work, poetry, archetype cards, meditation, and attachment based approaches.

KAP aims to address the root causes of mental health conditions and to help you create lasting change in your daily life.  Rooted Connection Therapy offers treatments that combine leading-edge therapy with psychedelic medicine in an environment optimized for your comfort and safety.

Leesa Burriss, LMFT has received training through Polaris Insight's KAP program and also does continuing education each year to stay up to date on the latest approaches and research.

Ketamine Integration Group

This group is for folks who are currently in Ketamine treatment and would like to integrate their experiences/journeys with others.  Through rituals, meditation, gathering in togetherness, and writing exercises; this space will help you integrate your ketamine journeys.  There will be no Ketamine administered during the group; this space is for integration only.  The group is held the third Tuesday of the month from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Rooted Connection Therapy.  The cost of the group is $70.

Sat on the Rocks

This group was created because there is a great need for community and for connection right now. If you are currently in Ketamine treatment at a clinic or doing KAP treatment with a therapist, come share your journeys in a safe connective gathering.  Ketamine is a medicine that opens the window of what already is inside of you.  Integration is how you carry what you are experiencing in your journeys and then integrate your new learnings into the now.  If you have been wanting to connect with others, this is a great way to continue your healing journey.
