KAP FAQs

What does the process look like when starting KAP treatment?

Each client will have a psychological intake session with Leesa Burriss, LMFT and a medical evaluation with a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to determine if KAP treatment is a good approach for your goals and healing.  If it is determined that it is a good approach, you will be prescribed Ketamine Lozenges for your KAP sessions.  There will be a few preparatory sessions to set intentions and to also prepare for the first KAP session.  The first KAP session will be a lower dose session to introduce the medicine.  Each client is different and treatment will be tailored to each person's individual needs and goals.  Integration is an important part of the healing process.  Rooted Connection Therapy offers individual integration sessions or group integration sessions.
