KAP FAQs

What does the process look like when starting KAP treatment?

Each client will have a psychological intake session with Leesa Burriss, LMFT and a medical evaluation with Dr. Andrea Farmer to determine if KAP treatment is a good approach for your goals and healing.  If it is determined that it is a good approach, you will be prescribed Ketamine Lozenges for your KAP sessions.  There will be a few preparatory sessions to set intentions and to also prepare for the first KAP session.  The first KAP session will be a lower dose session to introduce the medicine.  Each client is different and treatment will be tailored to each person's individual needs and goals.  There are typically 6 KAP (medicine) sessions and 6 integration sessions.  Integration is an important part of the healing process.  Rooted Connection Therapy offers individual integration sessions or group integration sessions.
